Longtime crafters and DIYers, Chris and Elyse Ellian decided to share their talents with their customers at Andren’s Paint Company in Duluth, Minnesota. Right before Christmas last year, the couple posted on Facebook about a holiday centerpiece they created. They had just gained access to the company’s Facebook page after taking over the business and were looking for interesting posts to share.
The post included the step-by-step instructions for making the craft and a list of supplies needed, noting the store carried most of what customers needed and encouraging them to come into the store.
“We thought this was something people would like to see, and even if they don’t make this exact project, they can see some of the cool ways to use the different products we carry,” Chris says. “We ended up having several customers coming in for the products to make the project themselves.”
