Cutting Edge Tools for Clean Paint Lines

When tackling a paint job, using a paintbrush to cut along the edges of trim, doors, ceilings and baseboards can be daunting. Edgers create clean lines without the need to learn a new technique and can produce high-quality results with little practice. Stock edger options to help your customers achieve professional results when tackling a DIY paint job.

Shur-Line’s Paint Edger Pro is designed for use with all paints and stains. Its rolling guide wheels allow you to create smooth, straight lines along walls, ceilings and trim, and its retractable wheels flip up and out of the way while loading paint to ensure that no liquid is accidentally applied to the wheels. The edger has single-finger pad ejection so you don’t need to touch the wet pad, a swivel handle that attaches to all standard extension poles and an ergonomic lightweight design.

Wagner’s Smart Edge Paint Roller has an integrated paint reservoir that eliminates the need for a paint tray, making it great for high walls that require ladders. The reservoir holds up to 6 ounces of paint and covers up to 96 linear feet in one fill. The edger also features a paint roller edge guard and thumb trigger for controlled and precise paint delivery resulting in crisp, clean paint lines and protected trim.

Emery Edger’s Shield Paint Brush is a traditional 1-⅕  inch nylon-bristle paintbrush with an attached plastic two-piece edge guard. A foam pad between the two halves of the plastic guard keeps paint flowing smoothly over the brush bristles, even on rough surfaces, textured walls or popcorn ceilings. While you’ll need to replace the pad, you can easily clean the paintbrush and plastic guard for use on future projects.

Pro Tip: While replacing the filler pads will achieve the best results, you can also use a small folded-up paper towel. If you decide to use a paper towel, make sure you shape it with the correct width and thickness necessary to maintain a ⅛-inch gap between the two shields.
